Ms. Noonan brings over 20 years’ experience in entrepreneurial and diagnostic healthcare, business development and operations management to the Polk County Medical Society and Volunteer Physician Network. Ms. Noonan has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and Management from AIB College of Business. Ms. Noonan owned and operated a innovative mobile medical health screening service within the 7 state mid-west region and brings a unique blend of experience in diagnostic medicine and business acumen. Ms. Noonan was key in development and implementation of The Iowa Health Systems HeartReach® program, based on her business model. She is also a published co-author in medical journals of neuromuscular medicine. Highly visible in the area of association management, Ms. Noonan is a member of the American Association of Medical Society Management, the American Society of Association Executives, the Greater Des Moines Partnership and Downtown Chamber Advocacy groups, the Des Moines Rotary Club, National Professional Women’s Organization of America, the Iowa Society of Association Executives, Iowa Public Health Association and the American Public Health Association. In addition, she is an affiliate member of the American Medical Association and the Iowa Medical Society.
Kathie J. Lyman
Special Project Director
Ms. Lyman works on special projects, fundraising and assists in advocacy for PCMS and the Volunteer Physician Network Program. Ms. Lyman has held various health-related positions since 1970, was administrative director of the National Health Policy Council in Washington, DC from 1988 to 1990, past Executive Director for the Polk County Medical Society and was key in the creation and implementation of the Volunteer Physician Network program to PCMS to help vulnerable Iowans.
Highly visible in the area of association management, Ms. Lyman is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Medical Society Credentials Verification Organization of America. In addition, she is an affiliate member of the American Medical Association and the Iowa Medical Society.
Volunteer Physician Network Administrator
Ms. Bascom has been an administrator and coordinator with the Volunteer Physician Network Program for over 8 years, helping vulnerable Iowans in need through access to specialty care. She has worked in various administrative roles in healthcare providing leadership, marketing and communications, patient advocacy and coordination for physicians and hospitals. Ms. Bascom also worked in the Iowa Legislature as a clerk for over 2 years. Ms. Bascom studied at Drake University in the fields of psychology and art.
Administrative Assistant and VPN Coordinator
Ms. Crowley is a coordinator for the Volunteer Physician Network and provides administrative support for the Polk County Medical Society. She has a experience in grassroots campaigning and finance, administrative services and bookkeeping. Her background is a Bachelor’s of Political Science and History from the University of Iowa.
