Polk County Medical Society Young Physicians Program
The Young Physicians Program (YPP) through the Polk County Medical Society is a group dedicated to enriching the lives of members both professionally and socially. Our emphasis is on physicians in their first six years of practice. The YPP chairman is Dr. Andrew Steffensmeier, M.D.
The goal of the YPP is to encourage networking at PCMS meetings and events in an effort to increase participation from young physicians. The YPP are young physicians who will become acquainted with others in their same age group and explore ways to enhance their membership through education and social events specific to newer doctors in town and starting out in practice in Central Iowa. Throughout the year, our plan is to hold events to help young physicians feel more settled into their work life and community life.
Getting involved is easy. Just attend events as they are announced. If your interest goes beyond attending and you would like to be involved in organizing a meeting or have a good idea for a topic you would like to see us address, please contact Nicci at 515-288-0172 or email at pcms@pcms.org
